After spending hours of time on the internet looking for a decently documented guide, I came across this paper that was published which is perfect. This is exactly what I've been looking for especially because it also walks me through setting up OpenMPI. This should also prepare the cluster to run Hadoop MapReduce, Apache Spark and Multi-Agent Spatial Simulations.
